A New Testament Assembly of the Lord's people, Location, Membership,
History
and beliefs and practices.
Chelston Brethren Assembly is located in the city
of Lusaka, Zambia in southern Africa. The Assembly is 15 minutes drive from
the Lusaka International Airport and has an estimated fellowship of 200
believers. Meetings on the Lord's Day include the breaking of bread, Gospel
ministry, Bible ministry and Bible study. There are weeky prayer meetings
also. The assembly has a sunday school with 80 children enrolled. There are 6
elders and 6 deacons.
Like most new testament assembly CBA practices the
brethren way of worship. Women are veiled during meetings, hymns are sang from
hymn books, there is a choir and a regular weekly rememberance feast.
There is no ordained minister, the assembly does
not hire pastors, and teaching is done within the assembly. the assembly does
not ascribe to politics and civil disobedience.
Baptism is by immersion in water of believers
only.
